A detailed guide to public transport in Liverpool dated Oct 2006 by Merseytravel, contains some good maps but is of course not entirely accurate as these things are always changing
The Merseytravel newsletter for November 2006 contains lots of travel info including the fact that from 10th December, the Monday to Friday evening services on the Northern Line from Hunts Cross to Southport via Liverpool will increase from halfhourly to every 15 minutes.
A superb booklet entitled Rideabout with Merseytravel (file is 3.5Mbytes) contains 5 easy cycle rides from Merseyrail stations including the Liverpool Riverside Route which passes through Riverside Gardens. An older version showing accessible trails published in 2004 may also be of interest.

Finding a Dentist. (Taken from Liverpool Primary Care Trust website) …any Liverpool resident who needs an NHS Dentist in this city will be able to find one by calling the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS), freephone, on 0800 073 1106. For people who need emergency dental services the PCT offers a Dental Access Service from Everton Road Health Centre during the day and Old Swan Health Centre during the evening. Appointments can be made by contacting NHS Direct on 0845 4647.
NHS. The NHS website provides search facilities for finding local Doctors, Dentists, Opticians, Pharmacies and more. Just enter your postcode and they will provide a list of the nearest service to you.
